About Us

Founded in 2008 by Tyler native, Daniel Arellano, East Texas Construction as a side project, balancing it with his full-time commercial construction career. The project thrived, and by 2012, his passion became his profession as he focused on remodeling, steel buildings, and barndominium shells.

In 2018, his wife and fellow Tyler native, Liz, joined as a full-time partner and designer, bringing her experience from her father's remodeling business. The team's expertise in welding and design was fully realized in 2019 when Liz designed their family's own monitor-style barndominium, completed in 2020. This project cemented their Hybrid Barndominium specialization, leading to the company's 2021 rebrand as ETC Barndominiums & Steel Buildings.

In September 2025, they entered a new era, rebranding as Iron King Construction. The decision to change the company name was made to resolve marketplace confusion and to better reflect the company's core mission. The new name better represents the company’s mission of "Building with Strength, Crowned with Quality, Ruling with Integrity.”

"Over the years, we found that our previous name, while meaningful to us, was sometimes confused with other companies," said Daniel Arellano, Founder of Iron King Construction. "This new name eliminates that confusion and more powerfully communicates what we do and the values we stand for."

"For our customers, nothing changes but the name," added Liz Arellano, Partner and Designer. "They can expect the same high-quality construction and design expertise that our team has always delivered."

The rebrand will not impact the company's operations, leadership, or commitment to quality craftsmanship.

This new name and mission—Building with Strength, Crowned with Quality, Ruling with Integrity—encapsulate the dedication that started in a side project and has grown into a thriving, family-run enterprise.
